Highlights from the May/June 2026 Issue

For more than 30 years, the Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove Kitchen Design Contest has honored the industry’s most visionary design professionals. Through fearless creativity, technical expertise, and an uncompromising attention to detail, these designers bring exceptional kitchens to life for homeowners around the world.

This spread is a celebration of standout kitchen design across Cincinnati and the surrounding region, submitted in the 2024-2025 Kitchen Design Contest. Curated by Tisdel Distributing, the regional distributor and local showroom of Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Coveappliances, these featured projects represent a diverse range of styles, spaces, and storiesβ€”each thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of modern living while elevating the everyday experience.

For decades, Tisdel has worked alongside architects, designers, and builders to support and inspire the region’s design community. Through initiatives like the Kitchen DesignContest, we are proud to champion the creativity and craftsmanship of our local partners, recognizing the talent that continues to shape and define our market.

Built for Living

The family of six had reached a crossroads familiar to many growing households. Their current home, while beloved, simply wasn't large enough. Initial plans focused on renovations, adding square footage here, reconfiguring space there. But when they discovered a particular lot that captured their imagination, the calculus changed entirely. The way the property sat elevated on the street, the way the backyard rolled and fell away to create a pronounced presence, it spoke to possibility. With Hueber Homes and Designs On Madison ready to partner on the project, the decision shifted from renovation to custom build. Sometimes the right lot, paired with the right team, makes the choice obvious.
